Melissa was one of three recipients of the A*STAR/SNAS Young Scientist Awards. The award was presented by Mr S Iswaran, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office; and Second Minister for Home Affairs, and Trade and Industry on 4 November 2014 at the Istana.

Melissa recently joined the editorial board of Scientific Reports, an online, open-access primary research journal under the Nature family of journals.
Nicolas published “Interactive visualization and analysis of large-scale sequencing datasets using ZENBU” in Nature Biotech on 10 March 2014. Congratulations Nicolas and the rest of the ZENBU team!
The Singapore Committee for UN Women is implementing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Arts and Service Learning Program for disadvantaged youth in Singapore, starting mid 2014. The program will target low income and at risk girls in Singapore. Melissa is one of the ambassadors for this program. We are looking for interested volunteers, please contact Melissa by email (melissa dot fullwood at nus.edu.sg) for more details if you are interested.
